Jay Stiltner Writes about: The Atlanta Braves

Jay is a native of New Port News, Virginia, where he became a lifelong Atlanta Braves fan in 1986, while avidly watching games on TBS. Over the last two decades, he has resided in Atlanta and has witnessed first-hand the glorious highs and tremendous lows of his beloved Braves. From their miraculous “worst to first” season in 1991, to their only World Championship in 1995, to the excruciating pain of missing the playoffs the last two seasons, he has passionately supported his team through every endeavor. If he isn’t at Turner Field, the games are always on his T.V. or radio. After transferring from Kennesaw State University to Georgia State University in 1999, he found his niche for writing. He majored in print journalism and minored in English, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2003. He has been an active freelance writer – preferably covering sports – ever since. This opportunity to write regularly about the team he has followed for most of his life is one that he takes seriously. He is dedicated to giving all Braves fans out there some articulate thoughts, reasonable opinions, interesting articles and accurate information on the state of the Atlanta Braves.

James Bucci Writes about: The San Fransisco Giants, TheBullpen

James Bucci received his start in sports writing as a columnist for the student newspaper at Saint Mary’s College of California. He went on to become the paper’s Sports Editor, covering the school’s football and basketball teams. Since then, he’s spent stints in the athletic offices of the University of Montana and the West Coast Conference as a Communications Assistant. Currently, he serves as a regular correspondent for the Contra Costa Times Newspapers, reporting on Bay Area high school sports. His love for the San Francisco Giants coincided with Will Clark’s arrival and continues to this day even after winning 103 games in 1993 and failing to make the playoffs, the World Series collapse of 2002, the Barry Bonds steroids mess and the many losses that will surely accumulate during the 2008 season.» Read More & Send Feedback

Nate Smith Writes about: The Cincinnati Reds

My name is Nate Smith; I’m a 21-year-old college student working on my degree in journalism and political science. I attend Malone College, a small, evangelical school tucked away in northeast, Ohio. I have served as the Sports Editor for the campus paper for two years. I am originally from Columbus and grew up a die-hard Reds fan. In fact, my driving force into journalism was the game of baseball. I played in high school. However, my inability to serve the 0-2 curve ball into right field rendered my skills futile at the next level; I guess I just thought this was the best way to stay close to the game. As my journalistic abilities have increased so has my desire to create both entertaining and informative articles and columns about the game that I love all in the name of providing you, the reader, a momentary release from the grueling monotony commonly referred to as everyday life.
